Why do we Learn French?
We learn French because it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and an important part of global culture and communication. Learning French helps students connect with other people and give better job opportunities especially if you want to get involved with the government.
Studying French builds skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, which improves memory, critical thinking, and communication abilities. It also opens doors to understanding French history, literature, music, and traditions. This helps students appreciate other cultures and perspectives. Overall, learning French is not just about the language itself, but also about gaining connections, opportunities, and cultural understanding in an increasingly global world
For some French can be a very fun subject to learn. You get to explore how to make sentences, conjugate words, and many more others to learn this beautiful language or as people may call it the romantic language. At Palmer we even have a French club you can join call Club Français, anyone can join whether you can speak fluently, wanting to improve on your French skills, or simply just curious about Francophone culture, this club is the place for you. Club meetings are every Friday at lunch filled with exciting games, topics, events and more.

Many language teachers, take French for example will use posters with different conjunctions, colours, how to make sentences, and many others to help students have a better understanding of the language.

These are some examples of projects that students will do.

Students may use a dictionary to get a better understanding of words they may not understand or want to know a certain word. The dictionary is very useful since it very accurate compared to using Google for example
