Why do we Learn French?
French opens doors simply by being used across continents, reaching far beyond its country of origin. It shapes how we engage with diverse communities while building bridges in diplomacy and trade alike. Picking up the language sharpens thinking, broadens perspective, slowly weaving new ways to interact professionally. Opportunities grow quietly for those who speak it, particularly within public service roles where clarity matters.
Getting into French sharpens how you listen, talk, read, and write - each part nudging your memory, clear thought, and way of sharing ideas a little further. Exposure grows when diving into France's past, stories, songs, and customs, pulling learners closer to real-life context. Seeing life through another lens becomes easier that way. The whole experience stretches beyond vocabulary; it ties people together, reveals new paths, invites deeper awareness - all while the planet feels more connected every day
Learning French might surprise you with joy. Sentence building opens doors, word changes dance through lessons, new discoveries wait around each corner of this so-called love-filled tongue. Every week, Palmer hosts Club Français - a space where talk flows freely, voices mix without pressure, curiosity leads the way. Fluency matters less than showing up, progress happens quietly among snacks and laughter. Fridays at noon bring chatter, playful challenges, cultural snippets tossed into conversation like confetti. This group moves to its own rhythm, shaped by who walks in.

Many language teachers, take French for example will use posters with different conjunctions, colours, how to make sentences, and many others to help students have a better understanding of the language.

These are some examples of projects that students will do.

Students may use a dictionary to get a better understanding of words they may not understand or want to know a certain word. The dictionary is very useful since it very accurate compared to using Google for example
