BIOLOGY
The field of biology investigates living entities, how they are formed and live. Biology examines the growth, function, and reproduction of various forms of life, including plants, animals, humans, and microbiological organisms, and describes their interaction with their environment. Furthermore, through their research of biology, students will develop an understanding of how to identify the structure of cells, as well as to comprehend the various systems present in the human body, as they relate to their environment, and to provide information about the relationship of all forms of living things in an ecosystem, or biological community. Biology provides students with information to help explain some of their daily experiences, such as the development of disease, the production of energy from food, and the generation of oxygen by plants.

What is Biology?

Biology is useful in so many things we do in daily living. It allows doctors to help patients, makes it possible for farmers to produce healthy crops, and gives scientists tools to protect endangered species. In addition to these above benefits, biology also develops students' ability to think critically and raise questions regarding their observations about living systems and the natural world. In addition, by learning biology, learners will have a greater understanding of their own physical, biological, and emotional composition as well as the world around them.
