Biology Competency
The ability to acquire the knowledge and skill expected in biology is referred to as "Biology Competency." This includes the ability to explain how cells function, how traits are passed down through generations, and how organisms relate to their physical surroundings.
In addition, being biologically competent means that students can read a graph and analyse the results of an experimental study, as well as use evidence from experiments and observations to support conclusions.

Students can develop biology competency by learning the main concepts of biology and engaging in the practice of scientific skills (experimentation, data collection, and drawing conclusions). These skills are essential for success in science classes and the future workforce.
In conclusion, developing biology competency enables students to understand, apply, and practice their skills and knowledge in life science and make informed decisions regarding their health and the environment. It is critical for the future success of students.
