English First Peoples Course
In summary, First Peoples courses teach students about Indigenous cultures and histories with care and respect. They promote the development of understanding, awareness, and empathy. As such, these courses are essential in helping to prepare students to be responsible and well-informed citizens.

In First Peoples courses, students are encouraged to listen carefully, ask questions, and reflect on what they have learned. In addition to developing an appreciation for Indigenous knowledge, students will also gain a broader understanding of the history of Canada. Additionally, through these courses, students will develop the skills needed to be more open-minded and thoughtful learners.
The objective of First Peoples courses is to educate students on Indigenous cultures, histories, and ways of knowing. These courses cover English, social studies, and any subject matter that provides a First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspective. Students explore traditional stories, historical events, and current issues that affect Indigenous people.
